On October 25.2024, groups opposing the attacks on Zapatistas and Rojava prepared an image as a gift, which prominently expressed support for Rojava and the Women’s Protection Units. Based on this, the Women’s Protection Units issued a written statement expressing gratitude for this meaningful gesture.
In response, the leadership of the Women’s Protection Units released a written statement expressing gratitude to this group and honoring the struggles of women everywhere.
The YPJ statement reads as follows:
“We greet you in the spirit of the Rojava Revolution and express our heartfelt thanks for your support in these difficult times.
The struggle for women’s freedom is closer to victory than ever before, thanks to this spirit of solidarity. The united struggle of women will put an end to fascist and oppressive systems that oppose women. The guerrilla fight for freedom, which has become the hope for the liberation of women and peoples, will certainly achieve victory.
No massacre or fascist attack can distance us from our passion for freedom and our mission. In this sense, we reaffirm that the value and significance of our shared solidarity and struggle will only grow stronger.
Long live the struggle for women’s freedom!
